Bring your stories, ideas and interests to the Hill and Valley Magazine!
The Hill and Valley Magazine production team (all Chedworth volunteers) hope that you feel the magazine is an important and relevant part of Chedworth’s life. The team are very appreciative of the articles submitted by the village’s various groups and organisations. Such articles keep us all in touch with the village activities.
But Chedworth and our surrounding communities are much more than a collection of groups and organisations. Dig a little deeper and you will find villagers with backgrounds, occupations, passions, ideas, interests that drive them and, in turn, shape and have shaped our community. Why not let others know something about yourself, what you enjoy and why?
For example Chedworth’s Sarah Garland (children’s books author and illustrator) is kindly contributing to the next issue an article with photographs about her favourite tree. Perhaps there is a tree (or other object) in or around Chedworth that you thoroughly enjoy and can point out to others.
Or is there something else about our landscape that moves you? Or maybe you been somewhere this year, had a great experience and taken some terrific photos – why not bring the outside world to our magazine? Or you love collecting some particular object. Perhaps your occupation or sport is something that others have no idea about. Or, for those who have not lived here that long, you have a story or recollection of life in this area say 20, 30 or more years ago.
As always the place to submit your articles is on the Hill and Valley Magazine website. You can upload both text (such as a Word document) and photos at the same time. The copy deadline for what we hope will be a bumper joint Dec/Jan issue is midday on Tuesday 15th November.
Why not take a small amount of your time before then to bring yet more content to the Hill and Valley magazine? We look forward to receiving your articles.
