CHOC Election of Officers
As announced in November H&V and via CHOC mailing list, under the constitution of Chedworth Oil Club, the committee runs for a three year term. Following expiration of the given November deadline, no nominations were received and Phillip Needham, Steve Scott-Smith and David Loveday were all re-elected unopposed.
This was held in December 2017 and a copy of the minutes are available upon request to me.
Sweet Fuels Commission Payments
We have just received a payment of £185.95 rebate for orders 6 months to 30 November 2017 making a total of £537 for 2017, up 22% over 2016. The increase reflects comparative oil prices over the two years which were higher. Even so, they are still way below the peaks of 2011/12/13/14 where at times, prices were almost double when compared to the last two years.
As far as I am aware, no members were left short supplied pre Christmas despite a massive increase in late orders due to the cold weather and hazardous conditions. Sweet pulled out all the stops to ensure we were looked after.
Sweet are continuing to support the village again for 2018 apart from the usual rebate and fuel prizes by being a Chedworth Show sponsor for the second year running
The rebates have enabled CHOC to provide funding during 2017 of £550 towards The Village Hall, St Andrews School Fun Run and most recently Chedworth Pre School.
Our bank account currently stands at £490.00 and if your organisation requires money that meets our funding criteria, please let me know so that the committee may consider it.
Happy New Year to everyone
